#1- Kachura Lake Skardu Baltistan

Kachura Lakes کچورا جھیل is a combination of two lakes Upper Kachura Lake and Lower Kachura Lake situated in Gamba Skardu Baltistan Northern Area of Pakistan. The lower Kachura Lake is one of the well-known famous resorts in Skardu Baltistan known as Shangrila Resort Skardu.

These lakes are situated 8200 ft above sea level in the Karakoram Mountain Range of the Western Himalayas.

Distance Between Upper and Lower Kachura Lakes

The Upper and Lower Kachura Lakes are not located in the same place, but there is a distance between both lakes.

If you want to visit both lakes, you have to travel approximately 1 hour to reach Upper Kachura Lake from Lower Kachura Lake. Due to the bad road situation, it takes almost 1 hour, otherwise, this distance can be covered in less than an hour.

A short walk of around 45 minutes to an hour from Lower Kachura Lake tourists can visit Upper Kachura Lake. There is no route so you can not take any kind of vehicle there but you have to walk and you can also enjoy a short hiking.
