Located 7KM from Skardu City, Sadpara Lake سدپارہ جھیل is one of the most beautiful natural lakes in Skardu Sadpara Village. The name of this lake is named after the name of the village. This lake is the main source of water for the whole city.

The elevation of this lake is 2,636 meters (8,650 ft) above sea level.

The beauty of Lower Kachura Lake AKA Shangrila Resort is incredibly famous in Pakistan and across the border. This resort welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world every year. This is the only lake that is completely heart-shaped naturally.

#3- Upper Kachura Lake Skardu

Upper Kachura Lake is another famous lake present in Skardu. It is hardly a 30-minute distance from Shangrila Lake.

#4- Kharfaq Lake

While traveling to the beautiful valley of Khaplu from Skardu you can visit this famous lake named Kharfaq Lake. This lake is located on the top of the mountain and you have to do a long hike to get there.

It’s good to keep a local person with you so you can easily reach there without losing the way to the lake. Normally tourists do not have any idea about the way to the lake.

#5- Ghanche Lake

Ghanche Lake is not for everyone out there. The lake is very far in the mountains from the Khaplu Valley. If you visit the Khaplu Valley you can see a big channel crossing from the center of Khaply village. The water is coming directly from Ghanche Lake. This is actually coming from the mountains.

This water is formed due to the melting of snow in Ghanche Lake. That’s why the water is very cold and you can not even drink a glass of water easily.

#6- Saif ul Malook Lake

Another mountain located beautiful lake in Pakistan is Saif Ul Malook Lake. It is located in the Northern mountain of Kaghan Valley. Thousands of tourists visit this lake every year.

The road to the lake is extremely dangerous and not paved also. So only expert and local drivers can drive on this road. You can not take a normal car or a sports car here. There are special cars only made for this road available in Naran Valley which you can take on rent.

The rent was PKR 3000 a few years ago. Now it must be somewhere around 8-9K PKR, because of the inflation going on in Pakistan.

Shausar Lake Deosai is the most beautiful lake in Gilgit Baltistan located in the heart of Deosai National Park. You can not miss this place if you ever visit Skardu Baltistan in your entire life. Even, it is a place where you must go with your family to enjoy the best time of your life.
